Jeff Engerbretson • 01
Jeff Engerbretson is based in Truckee, CA, where he’s carved out a living as a photographer and cinematographer. An avid skier and lover of the outdoors, he prides himself on getting the shot, whatever the situation. Whether he is on the side of a cliff, hanging out of a helicopter, balanced on the back of a motorcycle, or high up in a tree, when he is behind the lens, he is in his element. Having spent time as a professional skier, his experience brings an athlete’s balance, focus and strength to his work, more of which can be seen at www.skicamguy.com.

Ben Girardi • 02

From Argentina to Alaska, Ben Girardi has spent more than 10 years traveling the world with his camera. His two passions, snow and photography, first blended during his childhood in Upstate New York, and have influenced almost every decision he’s made since. Chasing his Canadian wife and looking to spend more time in the mountains, Ben recently relocated to Whistler, BC. Like most photographers, he makes sure to dress entirely in black and blend in, but on pow days it’s not hard to find him—just look for a big, toothy grin. www.bengirardiphotography.com

Chatham Baker • 03

Chatham Baker first crashed on a couch in Ketchum, ID in 2002, while attempting to escape New York City, avoid a real job, and return to his home zone of the Pacific Northwest. What was supposed to be a few months chasing snow turned into 13 years, and for more than a decade he helped shape Smith Optics, most recently as the creative director in Portland, OR. Chatham and his family moved back to the mountains this winter, setting up shop in Park City, UT and leaving the brand he loves behind. He and his wife Charlotte intend to teach their 1-year-old rookie-human, Blue, to love life on snow as much as they do.

Agathe Bernard • 04

Agathe Bernard grew up seeking adventure in the mountains of Switzerland and north of Quebec City. An award-winning photographer/cinematographer, Agathe specializes in capturing women in the outdoors, as well as using her talents on environmental projects spanning from the Caribbean to the Arctic and countless places between. In the winter, she also works as a guide, and over the years has earned the nickname “backcountry mom” for feeding friends and athletes goodies on the skintrack. She can be found in the mountains surrounding Revelstoke, BC, or by the ocean in her solar-powered camper/office combo. Agathe’s work has appeared in National Geographic, Mountaineer Magazine, Canadian Mining Journal and Powder, among many others. www.agathebernardphotography.com

Johan Axelsson • 05

Johan Axelsson grew up in southern Sweden, a place without ski hills or mountains. The young Johan was an avid skateboarder, with snowboarding being a thing to do when he couldn’t skate. That is, until he took a winter trip to the European Alps and was instantly hooked. In his early 20s, Johan moved to Austria and later Switzerland, where he’s spent the past 10 years snowboarding and shooting photos around Engelberg. When not riding, he can be found listening to and collecting rare 1990s hip-hop and ’60s soul records. Follow Johan on Instagram at @vinyljohan.
