Jean-Sébastien Chartier-Plante (01)

After years of studying graphic design and working at an advertising agency in Quebec City, Jean-Sébastien Chartier-Plante decided to ditch the city and listen to the call of the mountains. He quit his first steady job, packed his camera and skiing gear, and moved to Canmore, AB, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Adventure and landscape photography soon became passions, and then a continuing lifestyle. Now back on the East Coast, he’s always eager to share adventures with good people and capture their photo in the process. You can find Jean-Sébastien at the local crag, teaching his 1-year-old son Emile how to belay, or get in touch with him at www.jschpphoto.com.

Jesse Groves (02)

Jesse Groves was raised in the woods outside of Hanover, NH, building ski jumps that would launch him past the kitchen window on the second floor. He began working as a photojournalist in 2002, and now makes a living teaching, printing and curating photography in Southern California. He and his wife are raising their daughter in Carpinteria, CA, and he can’t wait to take her on winter trips to Mammoth and Tahoe to ski terrain he grew up dreaming about. See more of Jesse’s work at www.jessegroves.com.

Vincent Lebrun (03)

Vincent Lebrun grew up reading adventure tales about trekkers on the Appalachian Trail, climbers summiting peaks in Pakistan, and paddlers navigating raging rivers across the continent. After earning degrees in geography and political science, Vincent worked as a tree planter, and realized he preferred life outdoors. He now spends his winters patrolling the slopes of Mont Saint-Anne, QC and working on his tele turn, and his summers as an overeducated carpenter. More than anything, he loves to share stories with like-minded people.

Steve Ogle (04)

A self-diagnosed extreme nature geek, Steve Ogle got into photography to be outside and observe, rather than to slay first descents. He does, however, admit to having organized ski expeditions around exotic bird-watching hot spots, a few of which happened to end in first descents (and others in abject failure). Steve’s best work comes when conditions get the roughest, breaking he and his partners into primal survival mode. During these times, he battles to maintain composure—as well as his exposure settings and composition. He’s allergic to bees, lives in Nelson, BC, and you can see more of his work at www.steveogle.ca.

Daniel Rönnbäck (05)

From playing elite-level hockey in Sweden to earning his ISIA guide status on the steeps of Chamonix, France, Daniel Rönnbäck is a sport addict that happened to pick up a camera. His photography has taken him around the world, from luxury yacht trips to expeditions in the remote wilderness above the Arctic Circle. Daniel recently won the 2017 Deep Summer Photo Challenge in Whistler, BC, and his clients span from Armada to Adidas to Coca Cola. He considers himself honored to have worked with JP Auclair and Andreas Fransson, and his mottos are to live every day to the maximum, be happy, be kind to people, and always speak positively to and about others. Follow his adventures at www.danielronnback.com.
