Colin Clancy

A native Michigander, Colin Clancy moved away from his beloved Lake Superior for the big mountains and deep snow of Utah. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, Amy, and their two dogs, Daisy and Matilda. Colin has published work in The Ski Journal, Powder, The Flyfish Journal, Strung, Backcountry.com’s Explore blog, and elsewhere. In addition to writing, he loves throwing around India ink as he draws, paints and screen prints pictures of mountains and trout. Find him on Instagram @bigwaterbigearth.

Andreas Køhn

Born and raised in the Norwegian oil capital of Stavanger, Andreas Køhn moved to the Arctic Circle four years ago and now resides on a small island called Gimsøy in the Lofoten archipelago. He’s closing in on a master’s degree in sports science, but, he says, “that’s been delayed five years because of skiing.” His work has been published in Norweigan titles FriFlyt and Terrengsykkel, and his skiing is supported by BCA, Northern Playground, MSR, Thermarest, SealLine and SolRX. See more from Andreas on Vimeo under the username andkoen and Instagram @kompeas.

Christoph Oberschneider

Christoph Oberschneider was studying at med school when he got his first camera. Hailing from Salzburg, Austria, he’d been raised as a skier, and, as he says, “I set out to capture the soul of the sport.” In the decade-plus since, Christoph’s images have been published in magazines worldwide and allowed him to “work with world-class athletes like Sandra Lahnsteiner, Henrik Windstedt, ex-alpine ski racer Stephan Goergl and others,” he says. Christoph currently works as a freelance photographer and filmer and spends his off-season as a medical lecturer. Supported by DPS Skis, GoPro and Millet Mountain, more of his work can be seen at www.oberschneider.com and on Instagram @coberschneider.

Ryan Salm

Originally from Rye Brook, NY, Ryan Salm learned the art of photography in the analog days at the University of Colorado. Now living in Tahoe City, CA, he’s traveled to a hundred-plus countries and his photography and words have been published in a wide range of magazines from Patagonia to Powder. He’s produced an award-winning film and wrote a number of hilariously dirty songs. To see more of Ryan’s work visit www.RyanSalmPhotography.com or @ryansalmphotography on Instagram.

Dave Zook

Dave Zook grew up in the quiet woods of Inverness, CA, before diving into journalism and powder in Eugene, OR, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2006. Since then, he has bounced from Utah and a few other spots to his current home of Tahoe City, where he still treasures powder, journalism and ruminating on ways to fix California’s traffic. Check out his work in publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Powder, The Snowboarder’s Journal and at davezook1.com.
