“When Glen Plake’s wife Kimberly invited me inside the couple’s personalized RV to watch the construction of one of the most iconic hairdos in sports, I immediately took note of two things. First, it takes a lot of time and sugary syrup to make that mohawk stand up. Second, Kimberly has the patience of a saint. Watching the time and effort that she puts into making that hawk look perfect was almost as enjoyable as watching the contortions in Glen’s face as she flipped his head like a flapjack to ensure beauty and symmetry.” Photo: Ryan Salm
