“After rallying to shoot a storm at Snowbird, UT, skier Willie Nelson and I repacked and headed down to the southern Utah desert where they had received close to three feet of snow. I broke my A-arm on my sled on our initial scouting mission, but after driving one and a half hours to pick up parts and tools, we finished repairing the sled at 1 a.m. For the next two days, we scored untouched snow amid spires of red rock.” Photo: Noah Wetzel
