Ole Pavel enjoys some blower powder in Engelberg, Switzerland, after a big reset in late April.” Photo: Christoph Johann 02 • “Although last winter was very short and dry in Wallis, Switzerland, we were lucky to travel and find some great pockets of fresh snow a few weeks after the storm. The St-Luc Chandolin region offered perfect playgrounds with fast, north faces. It was already the beginning of the afternoon and we were in a hurry to catch the last amount of light on the line. I hoped Per Wingaard Sjøqvist would slash his turn as much as pos-sible while expecting that the backlight would do its job, and it worked pretty well, I suppose.” Photo: Michael Cordey 03 • “One of those days. 20 inches overnight. Sunny. Freezing cold. Josh Absenger banished to the white room in Flachauwinkl, Austria.” Photo: Christoph Johann 04 • “The Steinberg run in Engelberg, Switzerland is usually quite crowded during peak season, but the end of April can deliver amazing days like this one. Linus Archibald and Tobias Granath orchestrate a beautiful duet.” Photo: Oskar Enander 05 • “Neil Provo in one of the more unknown and unskied corners of the Wasatch Range. Drive, snowmobile, ski tour, bootpack, high-five and ski a few thousand feet of sweet pow. The gamble of the day worked; going someplace new is just fun—even before the ski part.” Photo: Adam Clark 06 • “This tiny, hand-built farmer lift in Bannalp, Switzerland, takes you to some great touring. The two brothers running the farm halfway up the mountain let you get a ride via their people mover in this box for a few Swiss francs. Piers Solomon buys the ticket and takes the ride.” Photo: Oskar Enander 07 • “I don’t think there’s a park feature anywhere quite as iconic as the Milly Tubes at Brighton, UT. About a week after Brighton closed, Taylor Lun-dquist hit me up to join in for a session. With no one around to tell us we couldn’t, I climbed a lift tower with my camera to try and get a unique angle of the flat Milly tube. Taylor laced up a back swap pretzel 270 out, and then bounced to go skate in Salt Lake City.” Photo: Brendan Ladd 08 • Travis Leamer and Jake Salvador happily haul their quivers in Peshas-tin, WA.
