Leighan noodles through new snow on a small glacier in the southern Alaska Range, testing stability in mel-low terrain before stepping to higher, steeper and more consequential lines after a new storm. Though the snow was perfect powder when we landed, it quickly began to heat up, foiling our plans for a longer ski day.
