I was working on a project with big wave surfer Mark Healey on Oahu’s North Shore when forecasts began predicting the biggest Hawaiian swell of the decade later that week. We decided to hop islands to Maui and head for the surf break known as Jaws. The forecast was spot on, and the lineup was filled with the best big wave surfers in the world. This ride by Aaron Gold was one of the largest in a session of massive waves.
