The contest was skier-judged, with two categories—pro or am—and not sanctioned by anyone. FreerideZone.com, headed by Anthony Chavez, helped spread the word and we had athletes from New England, Ontario and Nova Scotia. It was a total free for all. Runs had to be top to bottom, and it was about overall impression. Prizes were from a couple companies who supported me at the time, and everyone left with some swag.” 080 The Ski Journal
