CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT Simon Dumont was the sickest young rider I had ever seen—he and Mike Wilson were prodigies. Simon did trips with us, Level 1, and beyond for a couple of years before heading out west to win multiple Winter X Games gold medals in halfpipe. I met Tanner Hall at the Mount Snow X Games and hooked up with him whenever we were in the same locale. We made a parking lot quarterpipe. It was a complete fail. This is the only published photo of it. When I was heading to Whistler between 2002 and 2005, it was great to meet the Canadians, like Chris Turpin, Rex Thomas, Mark Abma [pictured here], Oakley White-Allen and more.
