LEFT TO RIGHT Alex Hackel in Engelberg, Switzerland—unsharp and flimsy, but expressive. I love to ski with the one or two skiers I shoot, just scream-ing “Go!” and seeing what comes of it. Do it again and again, and suddenly you have a strange and unique collection of photos you couldn’t have conceptualized. During Alex Hackel’s shoot for X Games Real Ski 2021 in Kiruna, Sweden, Hackel towed behind a rented Nissan into a rail. This is a legendary shoot by Pär Hägglund and a huge team effort that took two days to execute.
